Significant Photo

I noticed this photo probably between the ages of ten and twelve. I'm sure I had seen it before, but on this specific instance it had a profound impact on me. It was a photograph of my grandparents as young adults, just having started their family. Light and youthful, they were very different from the grandparents that I knew in my life and yet were obviously, insistently, the same two people. The full weight of time struck me as I had to imagine the years it took to transform these people from young to old. As a young child everything appears to be static and constant, and after I had seen this photograph, something had definitely changed.

I don't actually have the photo. It's sitting in my grandpa's house.

SOURCE Update 2

Phyllis came into the office all aflutter about her husband. "You won't believe this, Susie, but Rick takes a fishing pole into the bathroom and tosses the hook into the tub."

"You've got to be kidding," gasped her friend, "Don't you think you should take him to see a psychiatrist?"

"No time," replied Phyllis with a shrug, "I'm too busy cleaning fish."

Tattoo I want really bad.

This one's on my armpiece.

Actually retard tiger. Result of inbreeding for white fur by racist zookeepers.

I re-did this one.

Lyrics:

On fire I arrive at your steps like I've never been any where else
And now youre holding my hand like you're taking me back for yourself
And there's a signal here
But I can't tell for what

As I walked or was pushed down the path I could think of no other places and
You know the rope that I wear on my neck, it gets shorter every day
Oh so slowly now
Slowly I've learned to want

The horror in my mind slowly wanes before
Wax wax wax wax wax wax wax
I'm dead in the water again
I'm out on the edges of town
Cause I don't want to be in your way

You got something to say to me now so come crashing down the hall
I can tell by the sum of the noise how done you are with it all
Theres a signal here
But I cant tell for what

Youre the flower I want in my lapel
Dont let your ego get away from you now
Put it together just like we know how
And I'll never be the wind at your back
